Alcohol Rehab and College Under One Roof
The partnership between Woodbury University and Sober College has changed the way young adult addiction treatment is viewed, placing Sober College on the front end of this movement to combine education and addiction treatment. No other treatment center offers an on-site collegiate experience where residents can earn up to 15 transferable college credits from an accredited university. Sober College is drug rehab and college all under one roof.
Alcohol Rehab Designed Specifically for Young Adults age 17-26
The development of the Sober College alcohol treatment curriculum came about after years of extensive research, consultation with experts in the treatment of young adults, but most importantly, by knowing young adults and their specific needs. At Sober College we believe you should put your young adult in the hands of people who know, who understand and who are passionate about young adults. Sober College accepts only young adults age 17 to 26.
Alcohol Rehab AND Life Skills Program, Teaching Young Adults the Tools they Need to Succeed
Achievement in Life Skills is a combined practical and learning approach. This combination allows a participant to gain greater competency in both personal life skills and relational life skills. Students are expected to complete chores, like making their bed, cleaning the kitchen, as well as helping their staff and peers to cook dinner. Just by helping to cook dinner they are learning skills like cooking, cleaning, following directions, and teamwork. Sober College uses these small teachable moments to set the groundwork for a life time of life skills achievement

“Today I am doing well. Through therapy and writing my self-injurious behavior has stopped. I have good grades in my classes so far and am working hard to make all the new people who come to Sober College feel welcomed. My exit date to leave Sober College is January 5, 2008. I feel bittersweet about leaving. Sober College has changed my life. I have done more growing in the past five months than ever before. I am sad, and often scared, to leave the warm, safe womb of Sober College. I have made so many great friendships here, and have seen many generations of residents come and go. I try to value my time here more and more as everyday passes. I will never forget my experience here.” – Sober College Alumni
