The goal of the art studio is to allow the students to tap into there creative side, give them another way to not only express themselves, but grow.
Creating an Expressive Outlet
We have a complete art studio where residents can participate in several different art classes and workshops taught by our Art Director as well as specialized guest instructors. Students have the supplies, guidance, and encouragement to create works of art, and express themselves in a healthy way.
Sober College believes that many alcoholics and addicts are naturally creative people, and we try and nurture that artistic ability.
Sober College puts on art shows for our community where friends and family can come see what out residents have been working on.We help our students express themselves in many ways, and art is one of them. There are regular art classes at Sober College that cover the spectrum of artistic styles. Students get the chance to explore types of art such as:
- Painting
- Watercolors
- Sculpting
- Assemblages
- Pen and Ink Drawing
- Colored Pencil Drawings
Gallery
Students create many different art in the Sober College Art Studio, and many later decide to display their artwork on the walls throughout the learning center.
