Cocaine addiction has been researched by many people in the medical field. The University of Cambridge has found a difference between recreational cocaine users, and cocaine addicts. Dr Karen Ersche and her team acquired results of brain scan tests that indicates recreational users have a larger “frontal lobe” in the brain which serves as the decision and self-control center. They are very similar, but their program is based around a different substance abuses: Narcotics Anonymous focuses on drugs and Alcoholics Anonymous on Alcohol.
