Physical fitness plays an important role in early sobriety because of its mental and physical benefits. For example, in physical fitness, the release of endorphins naturally helps students “feel” happier along with gain self-confidence. All of this provides a foundation to sobriety; therefore, it’s beneficial for students to find a physical activity that they enjoy so they can reap the natural benefits of exercise. Just recently, Sober College took a handful of its residents to Sky High Sports, a trampoline park located in Woodland Hills, CA. While a child-like, innocent Continue Reading »

Drug Rehab Program

Last night I heard a speaker at Alcoholics Anonymous meeting who is on a hit television show, that I am sure many of you have seen or heard of, about young adults suffering from addiction. College Campus Adderall Abuse

Adderall Abuse

Adderall, a prescription drug used to help people with attention deficit disorder or ADD, has become a staple in the college drug abuse epidemic.  In 2011, 8.3% of college students admitted using it for non-medical purposes according to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
