There is no denying the dangerous side effects of young adult drug abuse. Substance Abuse and PTSD Treatment

A recent study on substance abuse and PTSD treatment shows promise for integrated therapy techniques. Katherine L. Mills, PhD, from the Nation Drug and Alcohol Research Centre at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia, led a study to test the effectiveness of integrated therapy for substance abuse patients with post-traumatic stress disorder. For the study, 103 participants that had both substance abuse and PTSD were treated for the recommended nine moths. About 40 million Americans are addicted cigarettes, alcohol or drugs.   This 40 million American struggling with addictions make up 16 percent of the U.S. population aged 12 and older. This weekend, Rachel and Jenna, two members of our Academic staff organized a very successful bowling event for our alumni. Smiles and cheers were plentiful as 32 of our alumni as well as seven staff members met at AMF Bowling Lanes on Ventura blvd in Woodland Hills last Friday to celebrate recovery with their friends. People who had perhaps not seen each other since their stays at Sober College met with smiles and hugs, and interaction was abundant. Drug Rehab Centers are Not All Alike

At Sober College, drug rehab center for Young Adults,  we strive to make sure the holidays feel like a celebration even if you are away from home. This weekend Sober College hosted its annual Passover and Easter BBQ. Staff put together an Easter egg hunt for all students with enough prizes and candy to go around.
